Transition: Kinky, Non-monogamous, Neurodiverse Love & More – Ep 26

Transition: Kinky, Non-monogamous, Neurodiverse Love & More

Are you ready to process with us? In episode 26, our season one finale, we process all that we experienced throughout season one, all the great guests and lessons learned. This episode ends with us explaining our vision for season two. Note: If you simply want to hear our vision for season two, fast forward to the last twelve minutes of this episode. Our intention for season one was to be your vulnerability hub and, in the process, break down shame in all its forms. Due to harmful cultural conditioning many of us feel sexual shame, shame related to mental health struggles, or shame related to our identity. Our guests who were willing to do the emotional labor required to open deeply gave anyone listening an incredible gift with their vulnerable life story. Shame cannot exist were there are those willing to speak their truth. As shame breaks down, we create a more loving, connected world through vulnerability. Collectively, as guests told their life story, from struggle and pain to meaning and triumph, much trauma was unveiled. And as Bell Hooks says, ““Abuse and neglect negate love. Care and affirmation, the opposite of abuse and humiliation, are the foundation of love. No one can rightfully claim to be loving when behaving abusively.” If season one often unveiled what is not love, then season two will reveal what love is. But not just any love, love that is pushed into the shadows: kinky love, non-monogamous love, neurodiverse love and more. So, we hope that you join us for this finale episode as we chew on what we loved best and what we learned. Then, please continue on with us for season two as we continue to dare to open deeply, but this time into the realms of love.
